Blood Pressure Management with Generic Inderal

Beta-blockers function by affecting the heart and circulatory processes of the body. As generic Inderal is classified under beta-blockers, it is used in treating angina (chest pain), tremors, heart rhythm disorders, hypertension (high blood pressure), and other heart and circulatory conditions. It may also be used in treating or preventing heart attack, as well as to reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches.

Before using inderal

Inform your doctor, before using Inderal, if you are suffering from emphysema, bronchitis, asthma, diabetes, low blood pressure, heart problems (congestive heart failure, slow heart rate, sick sinus syndrome, or heart block), depression, kidney or liver disease, myasthenia gravis, a thyroid disorder, circulatory problems, or pheochromocytoma.

For extended-release Inderal, take your missed dosage as soon as you remember. If the next scheduled dose is less than eight hours away, skip your missed dose, and wait for the next scheduled time to take your medication of generic Inderal. Never take extra doses to make up for any missed ones.

Medication overdose

If you think you may have overdosed on your medication, seek emergency medical aid. To guide you, symptoms of overdose on Inderal medication can include shortness of breath, uneven heartbeats, dizziness, fainting, weakness, seizure, or bluish-colored fingernails.

Inderal and blood pressure management

Hypertension often shows no visible symptoms so it is possible that you may not realize that you are suffering from it. Continue your use of generic Inderal as instructed by your doctor even if you are feeling well. Hypertension is normally an irreversible condition. As such, you may need to take medication to manage your blood pressure for the rest of your life. Remember that Inderal forms only part of a program designed to manage your blood pressure levels. You have to be diligent about following a proper diet, exercising, and watching your weight for effective blood pressure management.
