Aceon

Aceon is a highly effective treatment medicine used to treat high blood pressure or other form of coronary artery disease. It merely helps to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, but it is not a cure for high blood pressure.

How Aceon works

There is a chemical residing in the blood called angiotensin which is related to fluid retention and increases salt level inside the cell. The present of Aceon will help prevent the development of angiotensin and lead blood flowing through the circulatory system more efficiently.

Ways to take the medicine

In the beginning, the typical dosage of Aceon is once per day. However, this dosage can be increased after consulting a doctor if your blood pressure remains under control. This medicine can be taken with or without food. In case you forget to take it someday, you can simply skip this dose for the day and go back your daily routine on second day. To achieve maximum results, it is recommended to take Aceon according to the dosage schedule or as prescribed by the physician. Patients have option to consume the tablet together with thiazide diuretics which helps to reduce excess water present in the body. The medicine will take full effects in few weeks. Don’t over dose without first talking with your doctor.

Aceon side effects

Not everyone who takes Aceon will experience side effects. About 6.5 percent of people developed minor side effects which will disappear gradually after discontinuing the medicine. The common side effects of Aceon include headache, dizziness, cough, heart palpitations, itching,upper respiratory infection, and back pain. Following symptoms may cause serious problem: unexplained swelling of the hands, feet or head; unexplained blisters or peeling of the skin; difficulty breathing or swallowing; decrease in the amount of urine produced. Those side effects should be reported immediately to your doctor.

Aceon should be used with caution if you are suffering from kidney disease, because it may further damage your kidneys. The special attention must be focused when you are in the last 6 months of pregnancy or breastfeeding. No Aceon should be taken during those period, otherwise baby can be injured or die due to the side effect of the medicine.

If Aceon gives you an allergic reaction, or if you’ve had an allergic reaction to other ACE inhibitors, you should not take this medication.
